About the Journal

After decades of watching small bits of excellent work and research by undergraduate students gather dust on the shelves, we realized that a place needed to exist where we could preserve and make accessible these data. Earth Access provides a platform where unpublished, small gems of research can be published.

Earth Access Geoscience will publish as articles become available, with issues compiled four times a year after the first issue of December 2026: February, May, August, and November. Deadlines for submission are approximately one month prior to the first issue (i.e., January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st).

Review Process

Earth Access Geoscience does not conduct external peer review. Every submission is reviewed by the Editor for scope, data completeness, and methodological documentation, and must carry a signed attestation from a faculty advisor who supervised the work. We publish data, not claims of significance — our review asks whether the data are well-located, well-documented, and honestly discussed, not whether the findings are important.

Licensing

For Earth Access publishing, all published works, data, and any information associated with them are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.

Preservation

Earth Access Geoscience is committed to the long-term preservation of its content. Preservation arrangements will be announced upon publication of the first issue.
